Spend your summer making a difference, building lifelong memories, and helping girls grow in confidence and independence. Our summer camp positions are open to anyone who is passionate about working with youth and creating meaningful experiences outdoors.
While past and present members of Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia are especially encouraged to apply, Girl Scout experience is not required for some positions. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who bring enthusiasm, leadership, and a positive spirit to camp life. Whether you’re looking to gain hands-on experience, develop leadership skills, or simply have an unforgettable summer, there’s a place for you on our camp team.

OPEN POSITIONS:
Lifeguard: Lifeguard will ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by possessing strong swimming skills, a commitment to maintaining a safe environment, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, performing rescues when necessary, and administering first aid or CPR as needed. You will maintain a safe, clean, and enjoyable swimming environment, working with a team to ensure the highest standards of safety and service.
Unit Lead: The Unit Lead provides vital leadership within the camp community, overseeing a Unit Team to ensure camper and team member safety, the fostering of an inclusive environment, and the delivery of engaging, high-quality programming. As the primary leader within a camper unit, the Unit Lead is responsible for camper supervision, team management, and mentorship while actively contributing to the positive development of camp culture.
Unit Counselor: The Unit Counselor plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, engaging programming while ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive experience of all campers. As the primary supervisor for campers, the Unit Counselor fosters an inclusive and supportive camp community, guiding campers in self-care, personal growth, and leadership development in alignment with the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia mission.
Food Service Assistant: The Food Services Assistant plays an essential role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the camp's food service program. By assisting with meal preparation, kitchen operations, and sanitation, the Food Services Assistant contributes to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming camp environment that meets high standards of health, safety, and food quality.
Activity Lead - Archery, Low Ropes, and Arts and Crafts: The role of a Camp Activity Lead is integral to fostering leadership and skill development among campers through engaging and safe activities. As Camp Activity Lead in their assigned area, these individuals are responsible for delivering programming that aligns with the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.
Operations Director: The Operations Director plays a crucial leadership role in managing the daily logistical and operational needs of the camp while upholding the Girl Scout mission. This position ensures camp programs run efficiently by overseeing supply management, financial reconciliation, and the Camp Store (Trading Post).
Assistant Camp Director: The Assistant Camp Director serves as a key leader within the camp community, supporting the Girl Scout mission by ensuring smooth operations, a safe environment, and high-quality programming. They play a vital role in supervising Unit Team operations, ensuring camper and staff well-being, and fostering an inclusive, engaging summer camp experience.
Food Service Director: The Food Services Director plays a vital leadership role in overseeing the camp’s food service operations, ensuring that all meals are nutritious, diverse, and accommodating to the dietary needs of campers and staff. This role is critical to creating an inclusive and welcoming camp community, while upholding high standards of food safety, sanitation, and meal quality.
Health and Wellness Director: The Health and Wellness Director plays a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of all campers and staff throughout the summer camp season. By overseeing the healthcare center, educating the camp community on wellness practices, and implementing high standards of care, this position is essential in creating a safe and inclusive environment that supports both individual and community well-being.
Day Camp Counselor: Day camp counselors will lead hands-on activities in Life Skills, the Outdoors, STEM, and Entrepreneurship—think rock wall climbing, splashing around in aquatics, getting creative with art and design, and so much more. No prior Girl Scout experience needed—just bring your curiosity, positivity, and sense of adventure!
