Media Girls are a team comprised of Girl Scout Juniors through Ambassadors that represent the council during media interviews and community events. They are often featured in marketing materials and on social media. These girls develop personal and social skills by participating in opportunities throughout the year and monthly virtual meetings.
As the official girl faces and voices of Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, Media Girls will:
- Develop writing, public speaking, photography, and videography skills
- Interview with media on TV, radio, or for print publications
- Star in council commercials, videos, and print features
- Participate in exciting Girl Scout events throughout the year
- Speak at local events
- Create Girl Scout videos
- Have fun and make new friends
Media Girls love the spotlight and interacting with others! They are courageous and aren't afraid of a challenge. They’re Girl Scouts through and through—and they’re not afraid to show it!
Opportunities:
- Develop public speaking while being photographed and filmed

Goals:
- Help us tell the Girl Scout story!

These meetings also give us a chance to discuss what girls have learned and what ideas they have, as well as to cheer each other on.
