Join Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia staff as we help Brownie complete their "Council's Own" Black History Badge. Learn about the unique Gullah-Geechee culture of coastal Georgia and South Carolina, and how that culture has influenced American culture - possibly more than you ever realized!
Ever played a kazoo? Ate a "goober?" Sang "Kumbaya" around a campfire? Learn how members and descendants of the Gullah-Geechee community have shaped - and continue to shape - not only Savannah and Girl Scout history, but American history, as well! Registration fee includes badge, program supplies / snack, and a contribution to a service project which will allow the girls to complete the FULL requirements for the badge during these sessions.
Program supplies will be mailed as quickly as possible upon your registration. Because of this, no refunds will be available for this event. Additionally, while having the supplies on hand will enhance the experience, should you register late or should you package be delayed in transit, it is not * required* to receive the package to participate in the program.
