EXPLOREYour local state park is ready to be explored! Join Girl Scouts across the country for Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend on September 10-11, 2022. With so many parks across the state of Georgia, an adventure is just waiting for you! Take a hike, discover the history, try something new, AND earn a fun patch!
There are 2 ways to participate:
- Attend an event at a state park (participating parks coming soon), or
- Print and take the passport with you (tip: print it out before you leave home!) to a state park and complete it on your own.
After doing one of the 2 options, parents and troop leaders can purchase the patch by emailing the GSHG shop.

While you’re at it, join the Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Challenge—complete the designated number of activities and earn yourself a cool new patch. EXPLOREIn partnership with the Elliott Wildlife Values Project, American Forests, and Johnson & Johnson Foundation, Girl Scouts are launching a bold tree planting and conservation initiative. Girl Scouts across the country are setting out to plant five million trees in five years, and to protect and honor new and existing trees. Not only is this great for wildlife, it will also help ease the effects of climate change.
Girl Scouts have planted thousands of trees in all 50 states and globally. Let’s keep going!
