Tour and Program Opportunities

Explore Savannah with us!

We are so excited to share the opportunities available to you at First Headquarters and at the The Girl Experience Center!

Below you will find tour schedules, program listings, and important dates to remember! Come visit us and explore some of the exciting opportunities we have to offer.

Reservations for both FHQ tours and The Girl Experience Center Programs are available 6 months out.

Announcements regarding availability will be made on the First Headquarters  social media page, so please follow/check those for updates!

Tours at First Headquarters

To book a tour at Girl Scout First Headquarters, please click on a time slot in the calendar below.

  • At this time, we are only accepting reservations for guided tours for parties with a minimum of 10 people.  If you have a smaller party (i.e. your party does not have the required minimum of 10 people), we respectfully request that you please schedule your reservation so that you will be joining a larger party. If you have a smaller party, please see notes below.
  • Also for parties of 9 or fewer, FHQ will be posting each Sunday on our social media the best times smaller parties may visit in the coming week. Please keep in mind that these windows of opportunity are based on availability and a short waiting time may be necessary. We will work with your party (and others) to safely accomodate as many guests as possible for self-guided tours), capacity allowing. You are also able to add your smaller party to a larger/already booked reservation.

By being "considerate and caring" and by "respecting myself and others," together we can wisely use the wonderful resources that are Girl Scout First Headquarters, our staff, and volunteers to create a fun, engaging, and memorable experience for all who want to visit.

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia reserves the right to take any necessary steps and actions as needed for the safety of staff and guests.

The Early Years

The Early Years explores traditional activities from the very first Girl Scout handbook How Girls Can Help Their Country.  Learn more about our early history with hands-on activities, fun, and STEM lessons that still apply today.  Activities for this grade-level adjustable program may include basic first aid, electrical engineering, games, Morse Code, and Girl-Scout-approved-torture … oops, we meant to say “knot tying” (insider tip: Girl Scouts may leave this program knowing how to hog-tie people, so register responsibly).

Available for all grade levels. Maximum capacity: 40 people

Register using the calendar below!

STEM Sampler

We all know that STEM is the future, but sometimes we don’t know where to start! Join us to get a “taste” of at least three fields of STEM during this grade-level adjustable program.  Activities in this patch program may include hands-on experiments in chemistry, biology, geometry, physics, earth science, and more!

Recommended for Girl Scout Brownies and up. Maximum capacity: 30 people

Girl Scouts Bee Sweet

Bee-lieve it or not, honeybees help provide 1/3 of ALL the food we eat! From the chocolate in s’mores to the mint in Thin Mints, Girl Scouts (& everyone) should be sweet to the bees!  Even the Queen Bee, herself could learn something from this grade-level adjustable program.  Activities in this patch may include learning about the bees themselves & hive dynamics, the chemistry & uses of honey, and more!

Available for all grade levels. Maximum capacity: 30 people

Register using the calendar below.
