Brand Center

The Girl Scout brand is more than just a logo or other visual identity.

Brand is the personal connection and experience that people associate with an organization - everything from programs and products to how we present ourselves in the community is part of our brand identity.

Girl Scouts is an iconic, beloved brand, and it is important for everyone involved in Girl Scouting - staff members, volunteers, and community partners - to work together to keep our look, messaging, and identity consistent with that brand. Service Unit and Troop Volunteers are welcome to create their own flyers using the GSHG Branding Guidelines listed below or check out our Branding Cheatsheet!

Is your troop or service unit active on social media? Make sure you check out our Social Media Guidelines!

Social Media Information

We believe that social media is a great tool to spread awareness about events and opportunities AND to show off the amazing things you are doing with your Troop! Our council uses Canva which is a free design website! We recommend using Canva because you can create social media posts, flyers, and any other design items you may need! We have many templates already available!

gshg servicemark
The Council Servicemark toggle arrow

Our council servicemark has been updated! Use it to represent our council on any flyers or social media you create. Download different versions of the servicemark here. The servicemark should never be altered! It should remain as is; do not take away anything or add anything!

1. Never place it inside the Trefoil.

2. Never use the words from the servicemark without the Trefoil.

3. Never use it at an angle.

4. Never create new lockups.

5. Never recreate it.

6. Never abbreviate it.

We are so excited to have so many available colors to use for our backgrounds and shapes! Girl Scout Green is our #1 choice! The different colors represent everything Girl Scouts! For example, each grade level is represented!

the Trefoil

Also considered our Girl Scout logo! When you see the trefoil, you immediately think Girl Scouts! This logo should never be altered; use it as is! Never use more than one Trefoil in the same design (the servicemark does not count towards this application). Find more details about the Trefoil in our Guidelines booklet!

1. Never use more than one Trefoil in the same application.

2. Never crop it.

3. Never rotate it.

4. Never use it as a pattern (exceptions apply for products and packaging).

5. Never add effects to it.

6. Never outline it.

7. Never wrap text around it or lockup text close to it.

8. Never place it closer to text than the clear space allows.

9. Never use it to replace a typographic character.

10. Note: One Trefoil can be used per surface area. For example, a spread in a booklet or workbook can feature a Trefoil on each page.

11. Never place any text inside it, including page numbers.

12. Never place the Trefoil next to text.

Please remember that you must go to a Girl Scout licensed vendor to have any materials produced. Make sure you share your designs with Dawn Cusack for approval! Don't forget to look at our council shop as well, we may have just what you're looking for!

Do your best to keep your items cohesive when it comes to the event you are planning!

Girl Scout Font Colors toggle arrow

To keep a design clean and easy to read; the font should remain black or white! Use the image above to help you decide what color to use! This is really helpful to those who have vision impairment or difficulty seeing; each color was carefully chosen to make it easy to read!

Are you a Girl Scout Volunteer looking for more ways to be engaging online?

Check out our Social Media Guidelines for more information on managing your troop or service unit's online presence.

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia is continuing to develop social media presence through the use of our Facebook page, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube accounts.

The goal of our social media presence is to recruit potential Girl Scouts, volunteers, and donors, as well as to retain current membership, and reconnecting with alumnae. The use of social media enhances the visibility of our council as a united front reaching out into the community and media regarding council activities, national events, and more. With these online collaboration platforms, we are continuing to strengthen the mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Social media is changing the way we work, communicate, and how we engage with each other and the public.

Check out some of the graphics below that you are welcome to use for your troop or service unit's social media platform. On a computer, just right click and select "Save Image As..." On a phone, just hold down the photo and select "Save in Photos".
