WAYCROSS, GA— Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia (GSHG) is thrilled to announce a new partnership with YMCA of Waycross designed to expand access to Girl Scout programming and create more opportunities for girls to learn, grow, and thrive in their own community.
Through this collaboration, YMCA of Waycross will serve as a host site for on-site Girl Scout programming—interactive sessions led by GSHG staff or facilitators that bring the Girl Scout experience directly to girls where they already are. These programs will offer hands-on activities in STEM, the outdoors, life skills, and entrepreneurship, all while encouraging girls to discover their interests, connect with others, and take action to make their world a better place.
“The YMCA of Waycross is excited to announce a new partnership with Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia to help promote and grow the Girl Scouts program in our local community,” said Rusty Hall, CEO of YMCA of Waycross. “This collaboration aims to provide more opportunities for young girls to build courage, confidence, and character through engaging activities and community involvement offered at the Y. Look for Girl Scout representatives at YMCA programs in the near future as they work to connect with families, share information, and inspire new members to join Girl Scouts.”
By combining the YMCA’s strong community presence and commitment to youth development with Girl Scouts’ proven leadership program, this partnership ensures that girls in the Waycross area have the opportunity to explore new experiences and develop the skills they need for the future.
