The world is waiting to be traveled by each and every girl! Girl Scouts provides ample opportunities for girls in grades k-12 to explore their communities and other cultures through travel and exploration. By building a progressive program, girls develop skills that help them be successful in each new experience from setting up their own tent to meeting Girl Scouts in other countries. Create a world more traveled with Girl Scouts!

Prior to taking trips with your troop or group, one adult is required to complete the Troop Trip Guide and Knowledge Check.

To complete the training session:
    1. View the 2019 Troop Travel Guide HERE.
    2. After viewing the guide, please complete the Troop Trip Knowledge            Check by clicking here.

Important Forms for Travel

Field trips (Daisies and older)

A walk to the nearby garden, or a short ride by car or public transportation to the firehouse or courthouse is a great first step. What you’ll need:

1.  Fill out an EZ Troop Trip Application online or use our paper form* 2 weeks prior.
2.  Girl Health History and Permission Slip for each girl attending
3.  Adult Health History for each Adult attending

All day trip (Daisies and older)

An all-day visit to a point of historical or natural interest (bringing their own lunch) or a day-long trip to a nearby city (stopping at a restaurant for a meal)—younger girls can select locations and do much of the trip-planning while never being too far from home. What you’ll need:

1.  Fill out an EZ Troop Trip Application online or use our paper form* 2 weeks prior
2.  Girl Health History and Permission Slip for each girl attending

Overnight trips (Daisies and older)

Extended overnight trips (Juniors and older)

Three or four nights camping or a stay in a hotel, motel, or hostel within the girls’ home region (for example, within our state or a bordering state). Planning a trip to a large museum—and many offer unique opportunities for girls to actually spend the night on museum grounds—makes for an exciting experience for girls. What you’ll need:

2.  Girl Health History and Permission Slip for each girl attending
3.   Adult Health History for each Adult attending
