The American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED teaches lifeguards the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to emergencies in a public swimming pool or GSHG pool on one of our camp properties. This is a two-year certification, recognized across the United States.
Location: Camp Martha Johnston, 1500 Girl Scout Road, Lizella, GA
Time of class: 6-10PM on Friday, 8AM - 5PM on Saturday, 8AM - finish on Sunday.. Class begins promptly on time each day. If you also register for Glamporee, you can spend the night at camp and have breakfast and lunch provided on Saturday. If you do not register for Glamporee, you must make your own arrangements. NOTE: only adults may register for Glamporee and stay at camp this weekend. Others will need to come and go each day.
Pre-requisites: Must be 15 years old, able to swim 300 yards continuously, and be able to tread water for two minutes. There will also be online pre-work to complete prior to the class starting.
What to bring: Notebook for taking notes, swim gear and towels, water bottle.
