World Thinking Day
World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship and an opportunity to speak out on issues that affect young women. It is a way to celebrate with Girl Scouts and Girl Guides all over the world by doing the same activities. The 2020 World Thinking Day theme is “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” World Thinking Day 2020 is dedicated to the group of girls who took the lead in 1909 and demanded Lord Baden-Powell create ‘something for the girls’. Come out and participate in a day of celebration! Learn about different cultures, taste the food, and meet new people!
The countries are on a first come, first served basis. You will give your first, second and third choice of a country on the event registration form. Troops and girls do not have to host a country booth to attend, but the more the merrier for this event. Please reach out to your staff member if you have any questions about how to do a country booth. Troops will be notified of their country within two business days of registering.
Girls will earn and receive the WAGGGS World Thinking Day 2020 Challenge badge at this event.
