  • Signing For the World to See - Part 1

    ​Do you know American Sign Language? Learn to communicate with people who speak this special language and who want to be your friends. Learn the Girl Scout Promise and Law and Girl Scout songs in sign language. Tamecia K. Wright, an interpreter who is skilled in making learning fun, will be your dynamic instructor. This is a three-part series; in this session, you’ll learn the basics, including the alphabet, your name and the Girl Scout Promise. This inspiring program will open a whole new world of communication to you! Snacks available.

  • St. Patrick's Day Parade

    ​The St. Patrick’s Day parade in Savannah is one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in the nation. Let’s show the crowd what Savannah means to Girl Scouts! Bring your troop and join us to show off our Girl Scout spirit. Specific meeting place information will be available 3 weeks prior to the event. Everyone who participates in the parade will receive a St. Patrick’s Day patch.

  • Princess Boot Camp for Troops
    BrownieGrades 2-3JuniorGrades 4-5CadetteGrades 6-8

    ​Challenge yourself during this weekend adventure. Become one of the few who can shoot a bow, cook in tin foil, and make it through a challenge course, all while wearing a tutu that you’ll make yourself! We’ll honor our country and our military during a special campfire ceremony on Friday night. On Saturday, your troop will enjoy challenging camp activities, then we’ll pamper our “princess” selves during a special spa night. A t-shirt, program supplies and meals (breakfast, lunch, & dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday) are included. Prerequisite: troops should have previous experience with weekend camping, and at least one leader with camp training and current First Aid/CPR certfication.

    ​Training is required for girls working on their Girl Scout Gold or Silver Awards.  Bronze training is not required, but is recommended. Girls and adults are welcome at trainings. Cost is $5 per girl and includes materials. Awards training is free for adults.

  • Junior Camporee
    JuniorGrades 4-5

    ​It’s time for a challenge! If your group was alone in the wilderness, would you take command like Katniss or run away? Explore the outdoors during this weekend-long Hunger Games-style team competition. Learn and practice the eight basic outdoor skills and experience the thrills of archery and canoeing, too. This will be a weekend of fun and excitement for all. Please indicate your preference for sleeping quarters on your registration form. You may sleep in a camp cabin (first come, first served) or bring your tent and set it up in one of the common areas. This is an adventure you don’t want to miss!

  • Beauty and the Beast

    ​Storyland Theater presents “Beauty and the Beast, the musical”, a fractured fairytale musical at GRU Augusta Maxwell Performing arts Theatre.  Storyland Theater presents this original play based on the traditional story of Beauty and the Beast. Come and join us for a wonderful play with your troop or family and come meet the actors after the show.

  • FULL - Belays On
    JuniorGrades 4-5

    ​Take your girls beyond their limits on the Challenge Course at Camp Low this spring. Together they will conquer the challenge elements while they develop their leadership and communication skills in an adventure setting. Girls will experience a progression from initiatives and low elements to climbing the rock wall and the zip line. Start your spring on belay! Fun patch included.

    ​Have you ever wanted to learn the proper way to shoot a bow and arrow? Have you ever wondered why arrows have feathers and why one is a different color from the others? Learn the answers to these questions and much more when you come out to “Shoot the Bow!” Experience the thrill of hitting the bull’s eye while having fun playing archery games. Fun patch included.

  • Mommy & Me Cake Boss

    ​Spend a day at camp learning basic cake decorating skills and then putting them to the test in the first ever CMJ cake decorating contest. You provide the unfrosted cake and any decorations you want to use to decorate your cake. We’ll provide the frosting with any color you can imagine for your cake. While you enjoy the lunch we provide, local celebrities will judge the cakes. 1st , 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded for each Girl Scout program level and we’ll award a ribbon for the most creative and the most unique. Additionally you’ll get a chance to vote for the people’s choice cake. The official rules will be included with your confirmation. Will yours be the winning cake?

  • District Girl Scout Bronze Award Training
    JuniorGrades 4-5

    ​Bronze award is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can earn. It is also the first high award leading her pathway to Gold.  Award training is not required for this award but we do offer a training for those girls and Troop leaders who would like to receive training in the Bronze award. The cost for these classes is $5 per girl and includes the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia Award Planner.  Leaders/advisors are invited to attend at no charge.

Enjoy an afternoon at Camp Low on Rose Dhu Island in Savannah participating in your favorite camp activities: arts and crafts, archery, challenge course, campfire songs and s’mores, and more! Meet camp counselors, check out platform tents and cabins and visit the dining lodge as you tour the camp and get a sneak peek at the summer camp program for 2015. Concessions will be available benefiting the Camp Low Adopt-a-Camp committee to make improvements to Camp Low! **Those who attend will be entered into a drawing to win a coupon for half off one week of camp at any Girl Scout of Historic Georgia camp THIS summer!

    ​Bike your way through the week on the island. Campers will bring their own bikes (cruiser, mountain, or road) to traverse the land and learn basic bicycle safety and maintenance. Remember
    your helmet! On the water, girls will receive introductory level instruction on a stand-up paddleboard – riding out the sum- mer on an oversized surfboard – and learn about the ecology of
    the marsh around them. Camp staples like swimming, archery, and rock wall are on the list, too! Qualifications: Girls must be able to pass a basic swim test and ride a bike without assistance (no training wheels allowed).

Share your blessings with those who are less fortunate by donating lightly used clothing, shoes, and other household items to Goodwill. Celebrate National Family Awareness Month by helping families who are in need.

  • District Girl Scout Bronze Award Training
    JuniorGrades 4-5

    ​Bronze award is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can earn. It is also the first high award leading her pathway to Gold.  Award training is not required for this award but we do offer a training for those girls and Troop leaders who would like to receive training in the Bronze award. The cost for these classes is $5 per girl and includes the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia Award Planner.  Leaders/advisors are invited to attend at no charge.

  • Family Camp at Camp Concharty

    ​In honor of National Family Awareness Month, Girl Scout families are invited to a family campout. Enjoy archery, ropes and challenge courses, arts and crafts, fishing, and a hoedown at the main fire ring. Saturday morning, we’ll hike to Dowdell’s Knob. A hot breakfast will be provided; troops and families are responsible for lunch and dinner, which they may cook outdoors. On Sunday, you may choose to visit nearby Roosevelt State Park. Families may bring their own tents or trailers or reserve a cabin or treehouse. *Activities are subject to change*

    JuniorGrades 4-5

    ​Take your girls beyond their limits on the Challenge Course at Camp Low this spring. Together they will conquer the challenge elements while they develop their leadership and communication skills in an adventure setting. Girls will experience a progression from initiatives and low elements to climbing the rock wall and the zip line. Start your fall on belay! Fun patch included.

  • Shoot the Bow

    ​Have you ever wanted to learn the proper way to shoot a bow and arrow? Have you ever wondered why arrows have feathers and why one is a different color from the others? Learn the answers to these questions and much more when you come out to “Shoot the Bow!” Experience the thrill of hitting the bull’s eye while having fun playing archery games. Fun patch included.
