Building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Scholarships are available to girls who remain active in Girl Scouting through school and even more are available to girls who earn their Girl Scout Gold Award.  Deadlines are different for all scholarship opportunities, so check back here often for new and updated opportunities!

Also, girls can partner with their Girl Scout councils on small grants to support their Awards take action projects. Please contact the council if you plan on applying for a grant.

The Al’Shondra Harris Girl Scout College Book Scholarship is a $250 book scholarship awarded to a graduating Girl Scout who has earned her Girl Scout Gold Award. Eligibility and application requirements are detailed in the enclosed application form.  Those interested should complete the application and return it to the Columbus Service Center, Att: Toya Winder, 1344 13th Avenue, Columbus, GA 31901. Application period for this year has closed.

The scholarship is valued at $9,000 toward tuition at Wesleyan College, and is renewable every year for four years, or eight semesters, if the student remains in good standing and maintains a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. While this cannot be combined with any other Wesleyan College sponsored scholarship, it can be replaced with a higher valued scholarship if the student meets additional qualifications. The Wesleyan Gold Award scholarship recipient can supplement her Wesleyan scholarship with state and federal aid.
Visit Wesleyan website for additional information.
