 Council Financial Assistance for Membership

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia allocates funds for the sole purpose of assisting new members with paying their membership dues.  These funds are limited and are granted based upon a specific set of criteria. 

The criteria for girls include:
  • the number of members in one family
  • family income
  • family employment status
  • whether a troop/girl is a re-registering Girl Scout
The criteria for adults include:
  • the adult’s position in Girl Scouting into taken consideration, as well as the
  • number of family members
  • family income
  • whether the troop/adult is re-registering Girl Scout
Approvals are sent directly to Data Services for processing; no formal notification is sent.   If a request is denied, a notification will be sent to the applicant/parent/guardian.
