The Girl Scout program changes the way girls see the world and their place in it. Girls learn the importance of personal responsibility, the value of goal-setting, the spirit of teamwork, and the thrill of accomplishment. The program is based on the Girl Scout Promise and Law and the three keys to leadership:

• Discover: Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world.
• Connect: Girls care about, inspire, and team with others locally and globally.
• Take Action: Girls act to make the world a better place.

Whether learning to build robots, hiking in the Ozarks, mastering elements of the arts or engaging in advocacy or conservation efforts, there are opportunities for EVERY girl!

Ways to be a Girl Scout

A girl can be a Girl Scout in several different ways:

Pathways
* Join a troop and meet with friends the whole school year
* Come to cool events
* Go green and camp
* Travel near or far with girls you know or girls you'll meet
* Explore a special interest with other girls who share your passion

Journeys
Come experience the new Journeys.  They will change your life ... and your world!  The new Girl Scout Journeys and earning badges help girls develop values, form caring relationships, develop practical skills, learn cooperation and feel empowered to make a difference.

Juliettes
If you don't have time to be in a troop or there isn’t a troop that works for you , consider becoming a Juliette. Juliettes are Girl Scouts who are not affiliated with a specific troop , but who are able to discover , connect and take action at their own pace. As a Juliette , you may choose from programs , events and activities available to all Girl Scouts in Georgia and across the nation!

Girl Scouts provides girls in grades K-12  with the tools they need to be successful leaders throughout their lives. Our exceptionally fun programs are also leadership opportunities that focus on engaging girls in discovering their own potential, connecting with others, and taking action to make the world a better place.
