It's Your World - Change It!

This series features one new book for girls at each grade level in Girl Scouting. The books emphasize inviting girls to "Take Action" on an issue they care about. The books also contain stories, inspirational material, Girl Scout history, traditions and values, facts and games, and blank space for girls to fill in their own ideas and memories.

In this journey for kindergarteners and first-graders, a favorite pastime—gardening—meets the Girl Scout Law. The result is a storybook world of flowers and little girls who, together, do great things. Girl Scout Daisies will especially enjoy meeting the colorful, global characters who teach them to live the Girl Scout Law.

Like all Girl Scout journeys, ''Welcome to the Daisy Flower Garden'' focuses on the leadership philosophy of girls discovering (themselves and their values), connecting (caring and teaming), and taking action (to improve their communities and the world).

What are the most important keys for a Girl Scout to own? This quest, which has second- and third-graders traveling along two colorful trails—one they can enjoy on their own and one they explore with their Girl Scout group—answers that question in a very special way. Along the Quest, Girl Scout Brownies will meet three new friends and a bright and shining elf—in a brand-new Brownie story meant to inspire their own Take Action Projects.

Power. In this journey, there’s a whole spiral of it waiting for Girl Scout Juniors. The journey is filled with ceremonies and circles, real-life heroines, and special new characters, including the fashion-savvy spider named Dez. Along the way, girls learn how their own power combines into team power and then moves out to become community power (kind of like how Dez weaves her web from the inside out). The journey’s centerpiece is a comic story of girl heroines who will inspire the Juniors as they take action to improve their own community.

This Junior journey is filled with fun and friendship. From its start to its closing celebration, the girls will move from a deeper understanding of themselves to exploring how powerful they are as a team, to realizing the added strength they gain by reaching out in the wider community to take action with its members.

cadette_journey_coverCadettes - aMAZE: The Twists and Turns of Getting Along

Life is a maze of relationships and this journey has Girl Scout Cadettes maneuvering through all its twists and turns to find true friendships, plenty of confidence, and maybe even peace.

On this amazing maze of a journey, each passageway presents opportunities for Cadettes to navigate personal relationships in the best and most productive ways. As girls twist and turn through aMAZE, they gain tips and strategies for creating healthy relationships for themselves and those around them and begin to build more positive and peaceful relationships in the world around them.

senior_journey_coverSeniors - GIRLtopia

Girl Scout Seniors know the world is not ideal. This journey is their chance to imagine a perfect world—for girls. They’re invited to create their vision as an art project—in any medium they choose. Then they’ll take action to make their vision a reality. Leaders, after all, are visionaries!

GIRLtopia invites girls to consider how the world is far from perfect for girls around the world. As girls take in this reality, they are invited to envision an ideal world—a society that consistently respects their needs, values and interests.

ambassador_journey_coverAmbassadors - Your Voice, Your World

How often have you seen something that really needed to be changed and wondered, "Why isn’t someone doing something about that?" This journey gives Girl Scout Ambassadors a way to be that someone—an advocate with the power to start the first flutter of real and lasting change. While creating their own "butterfly effect," they'll gain an array of skills—such as networking, planning and learning to speak up for what they believe—that will benefit them as they prepare for life beyond high school.

This journey offers Ambassadors the tools to dig for the root of an issue they deeply care about and then to explore possible solutions. As they advocate for a solution, girls at the highest level of Girl Scouts will develop confidence and valuable leadership skills—problem-solving, research, networking, persuasive speaking and consensus-building. These skills are a strong foundation for girls to be leaders who speak up for what they believe in life now—and into the future!
