It’s easy to volunteer - ready to get started?!

1.) First you will need to fill out the Volunteer Application and send it in to your nearest Service Center This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

2.) Next you need to complete the background screening. Please follow the link below to the office nearest to you.  (The password for each is "historic.")
Albany area
Athens area
Augusta area
Columbus area
Macon area
Savannah area

Once your application and screening have been completed, you will be notified by council staff of your approval. Once you are an approved volunteer you will need to take training for the adventure that awaits you!

3.) If you are going to be part of a troop leadership team you will need to take the New Leader Orientation right away. After New Leader Orientation, you will want to take the Leadership Essentials training at your earliest convenience. You can send in your training registration form to your nearest service center for the training date that suits you.  (Click here to view all upcoming trainings.)

If you are planning on volunteering in a capacity other than troop leadership, you will need to take the Online Orientation. You can complete it by clicking on the link below. Please be sure to email a copy of your Learning Log to the council so you can be credited with completing this training.
