Local Girl Scouts Attend Centenary Celebration in England!

Perrin Aycock, Lizzy Ratajczak, Ilaina Burns and Inkeria Harris recently traveled to England with two GSHG staff members to attend the WAGGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) Centenary Celebration hosted by Girl Guiding UK to celebrate their 100th anniversary!  The week-long camp was held on the grounds of Harewood House, the estate belonging to the Queen's cousin, and was attended by over 5,000 participants, including representatives from 48 countries.  The girls participated in many events, from fencing to sightseeing, and they even took a trip to Diggerland, an amusement park full of large earth-mover construction vehicles. The girls had a awesome time and made new friends from England, Bangladesh, Mexico, St. Kitts, Montsurrat, Ireland and more!
