Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia (GSHG) is thrilled to announce the addition of country music sensation, Maddie & Tae, as the headlining artists for QuestFest 2017. This live concert event just made an epic weekend of fun adventures and challenges even bigger.
From July 13-16, Girl Scouts and their families from all over the country will navigate the streets of historic Savannah in a competitive search for adventure. Their playful and educational Quests will immerse them in history, challenge their skills, and introduce them to ideas that will shape their future. Some will focus on experiential learning, some will inspire random acts of kindness and some will be nothing but fun. Did we mention that girls will be competing for cash prizes for their teams and their Girl Scout councils?
Each participant will also receive a free ticket to the Maddie & Tae concert on Saturday, July 15. The duo won Radio Disney Music Awards in 2016 for Country Favorite Artist and Country Favorite Song. They've been nominated three years in a row for an Academy of Country Music Award. They also won a Country Music Association Award in 2015 for their video "Girl in a Country Song."
They are the perfect pair to culminate an event that promotes G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk taker and Leader™) experiences.
“We are so excited to welcome Maddie & Tae to Savannah, and for girls from across the country to see them perform here where Girl Scouting started,” said GSHG Chief Executive Officer Sue Else. “These two are so much fun, and their youthful sense of adventure and unyielding girl power spirit are a perfect fit for our organization.”
The concert is at 7 p.m. at the Savannah Civic Center and is open to the public. Ticket prices are $25.50 at the Box Office and $26.50 online. Tickets may also be purchased by phone at: 1-800-351-7469 or 912- 651-6556.
QuestFest is the biggest weekend on the calendar for GSHG, and it’s only fitting that it happens in Savannah, the historic home of Girl Scouting. In addition to the adventures and live concert, the event includes a movie night at the historic Lucas Theatre and a traditional bridging event across the iconic Talmadge Bridge. QuestFest is sponsored by Publix Super Markets Charities.
There’s still time to join the fun. Registration ends on June 1. To register, volunteer or find answers to frequently asked questions, visit gsquestfest.org.
