Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia (GSHG) and Sylvan Learning of Savannah have partnered to shine a brighter light on all things Girl Scouts and to expose girls to learning opportunities at Sylvan. Both organizations are looking forward to increasing the Girl Scouts’ social media visibility through the production of more video content, creating signature events that will enhance the Girl Scout experience, and offering all Girl Scouts discounted rates at Sylvan Learning of Savannah. The partnership began with a very successful Quest Fest in July. Sylvan sponsored the production of the video highlights of this epic three-day scavenger hunt through the historic district of Savannah.
According to Sylvan Learning owner, Dino Papadopoulos, “Sylvan is proud to partner with Girl Scouts. This is such an important, life-changing organization. The fact that Girl Scouts originated here in Savannah just adds to the significance of working with them. Their mission of ‘building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place’ aligns with our own commitment to empowering girls and young women. We’re absolutely thrilled at being the exclusive academic coaching partner of Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia and offering their girls special access to all of our learning opportunities throughout the school year.”
Sylvan and GSHG share the belief that confidence, competence, and life skills form the foundation for academic success, and success in life in general.
“We are excited to partner with Sylvan Learning to ensure Girl Scouts have every opportunity to excel with the skills needed to succeed in growing, yet challenging career fields. Our unique all-girl environment provides fun and exciting experiences that equip girls to create positive change in the world.”
All Girl Scouts will be able to receive free academic testing at Sylvan, free consultations, exclusive discounts for tutoring (including Eureka Math), MAP, and GMAS instruction. Sylvan will also be working with GSHG to provide a learning space, instructors, and curriculum for STEM Robotics, Video Game Design, and Coding. Yes, it IS rocket science, and YES, Girl Scouts can do it. That goes for cybersecurity, too! Thanks to new programs like the Think Like a Programmer Journey, the sky's not even the limit for what girls can achieve in STEM. ###
