New Leader Orientation (NLO)- Augusta
Provides the nuts and bolts for getting started as a leader and a basic understanding of this role. Includes: Understanding your role as a leader, pathway/troop basics, planning and executing a parent meeting, planning and executing a pathway (troop) meeting using the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), how to set up the troop checking account and other basics of running a troop/pathway, council policies, basic safety guidelines, travel and ratios, how a Service Unit, SU/Service Area, SA operates and the importance of the GSLE.
